Have you seen the Batt ?

This a great big appreciative post about an amazing storyteller whom I have the pleasure of creating with the lovely Tanya Batt ! I was first introduced to Tanya by my beautiful niece Anika whom has a love affair with her stories and whose beautiful mother sent me A Sack of Stories. A handy resource as a teacher and Mum when telling stories…not just from a book.

We have just completed the Story festival on Waiheke Island…a trail/journey of stories beginning with the Grimms brothers…celebrating 200 years of fairytales being trapped into books 🙂 We jumped on daisy the double decker bus and stopped at various locations on the Island where Tanya told us wonderful stories to entertain young and old. We boarded a pirate ship and took off on a day long adventure to Rotaroa Island to find the treasure of Charlotte badger…..then cascade d into Whakanewha Regional park…4 days of story heaven with Tatty Batty the pirate who navigates the seas of creativity.

If you ever need inspiration for children or yourselves look Tanya up….www.imagined-worlds.net.
Or like her at Once Upon an Island on Facebook. You will be pleased you did.
Thank you for the baklava my friend…
